We are passionate about the hospitality industry and revolutionizing the hospitality experience in Kenya and Africa through character, innovation and excellence. This is why we have now launched the Fred’s Ranch School of Hospitality (FRSH).
Our flexible Courses ensure that industry professionals who desire to improve their skills need to enroll and polish their knowledge without interfering with their work schedules. Barmen, Waiters, Chefs, Housekeepers and Supervisors can plug into the provided courses and ouar faculty has created dynamic learning schedules that suit their working hours.
Our faculty is specially chosen from various 5-star Institutions in the Industry both from within and outside the country, as well as Small and Medium Size establishments, to ensure that the learners get a touch of international excellence and local flavor, as they go through their academic paces.
The learning experience will involve several industry visits to restaurants, hotels and tourism destinations across the country to develop an appreciation for the entire tourism industry at all levels.
- Theory classes delivered by faculty daily
- Practical Cooking sessions in the school training kitchen for Food Production Students (Chefs)
- Practical Service sessions in the Demonstration Restaurant for F&B Service students
- Industry exposure for specific functions at Fred’s Ranch & Resort on a weekly basis (for level 2 students)
- One-on-one Mentorship Sessions with faculty on a weekly basis.
- One Industry visit each month. Comprises of a visit to an established hotel within Nairobi.
- One overnight Industry visit each semester outside Nairobi City
- Invited Speakers from the Hotel Industry twice a month.
- Continuous Assessment Tests twice each semester
- Final Examination with City and Guild Certification at the end of each course.
- Certified First Aid Training
- Two Bonus Units per year for full-time students: (not included in school fees)
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- Meals while at School: 10am Tea, Lunch and 4pm Tea, as well as drinking water.
- Two sets of branded Uniforms for practical and theory classes
- Transport to and from Kitengela daily.
- Fully equipped classroom with projector and white-board.
- Equipment for practical sessions in the kitchen and demonstration restaurant.
- Simulation and real Industry scenarios to enable students comprehend and apply techniques learned.
- One internship placement per year, with regular supervision by lecturers.
- Facilitation of Food Festival Project to be conducted at the end of the Year as the final project
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellence in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Kenya and beyond.
- Apply Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurial skills in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
